1. Does apprentice have thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations?

2. Does apprentice have the ability to lay out a test course accurately?

3. Does apprentice clearly instruct all assistants in their required roles?

4. Does apprentice clearly instruct handlers in taking them through the course?

5. Does the apprentice score dogs accurately? Does the apprentice have problems in scoring particular tests?

6. Can the apprentice debrief handlers accurately and sympathetically?

7. Evaluate how the apprentice handled conflict situations that arose during the test.

8. Evaluate the apprentice's ability to deal with people fairly and impartially.

9. What, if anything, should the apprentice work on to improve his/her ability?

10. Do you feel that the apprentice is ready to assume the responsibility of becoming a tester?
